Subject: Re: UK Spring Game Date (April 26th)

UK is looking to have another huge Spring Game this year and we would like to invite HS Bands to join us again. We are going to provide a t-shirt, a meal, and all the necessary music. All the students need to bring is themselves (dressed in blue jeans and tennis shoes), their instrument, and their flip folder and lyre. 

Also, the band at this event would only be playing in the stands. There would be no marching of any kind nor would they be expected to learn anything outside of the 90-minute rehearsal on the day of the gig. 

Here is a rough sketch of what that day would look like:

Saturday, April 26th, 2014

10:00 am Registration / Check-in
10:30 am Rehearsal / Drum Major Auditions
12:30 pm Transition to BCTC
1:00 pm   Eat (Meal provided by UKAD)
2:30 pm   Meet in BCTC lecture hall
2:45 pm   Enter the stadium
3:30 pm   Kick-Off 

If any of your staff, directors, or parents would like to attend, they are more than welcome to do so. All I would need is a list of students that would like to attend. You can have them fill out the form that I have linked below:

I am looking to order the food and T-shirts on Monday, April 7th. 

Finally, if you have any seniors who are planning to attend UK, we would love to have them continue on with Band when they get here. They can e-mail me directly or fill out the interest form on the UK Bands website.
